Lloyd Athletic Club is a locally owned and operated fitness centre in Portland. The gym is located at 815 NE Halsey St, Portland, OR 97232, Northeast Portland, Broadway District, Lloyd District. The fitness centre was established in 1978 with the goal of getting people into a program that they enjoy doing.
The Lloyd Athletic Club has been serving the community of Lloyd for more than 30 years now. The gym is also active in events in community fund raisers or events for health awareness, schools, businesses and so on. The gym also has the latest cardio and fitness equipments for their members’ use. Apart from that, the Lloyd Athletic Club gym also host more than 75 group classes for their members every week. The fitness centre’s focus is on individual member. New member are made to receive 30 minutes of consultation. After that, they are enrolled in to a personal training class that last 2 hours.
Joe R. from Portland, OR as at the time of his review had only joined the Lloyd Athletic Club for just 2 weeks and he reported that he enjoyed the classes so far. According to him, the gym is clean and the people working there are friendly. He also mentioned that the gym as a pretty good amount of classes and equipments.
Another thing Joe claim to love about the Lloyd Athletic Club is the soap, tissues, after-shave, shampoo and other that were available for use at the locker rooms. The steam room is also awesome and the gym also has towel service.joe also thinks the gym is cheaper than most corporate gym and has everything anyone needs to have a nice workout experience.

According to her, pros of the gym includes great staff, affordable price, friendly crowd, basketball court, relaxed vibe, steam and sauna rooms, spacious and availability of cardio machines and other equipments for use among others. What she does not like about the gym is that parking is hard and some of the equipments are not upgraded. She also didn’t like their choice of music at the locker room and she complained that some of the trainers are out of shape.
