9. CSUSB Leadership Challenge Center
The state-of-the-art CSUSB Leadership Challenge Center, which is part of Cal State San Bernardino Recreational Sports program, provides unique team-building and leadership development programs for CSUSB students, departments, clubs, teams, schools, businesses, as well as the community.
They have programs designed to help and teach a person how to appropriately build trust in others; empower a person to develop skills necessary to be part of a healthy community; and increase individual interpersonal skills, social skills and physical abilities.
It was established in 2013 and the center has helped a lot of people achieved their fitness objectives. Some of the benefits of CSUSB is as follows:
Increase awareness of self, attitudes, behaviors, etc.
Increase confidence and self-esteem
Enhance coordination and agility
Enhance an understanding and respect for individual differences
Promote expression of thoughts and feelings
Enhance communication skills (active listening, giving/receiving feedback, etc.)
Identify and improve critical thinking and problem solving skills.
CSUSB programs include;
An experienced CSUSB Team Leader that will work with your group to develop a custom program that meets the needs of your group. Your program may consist of the following components.
Warm-ups – These activities are designed for people to get to know each other in a different light. Participants begin to set aside fear of embarrassment and establish a safe learning environment.
Initiatives – Teams are presented challenges that requires the entire group to work together in order to arrive at a solution. The focus is on communication, support and problem solving.
Low Initiative – These activities involve physical and mental challenges conducted low to the ground. They take group effort to accomplish. The group creates the safety system, spotting and supporting one another.
Lyza descirbes the center has a great course, great people, and great program! It’s great for any type of group. It can be a group as small as 8 or as big as 100. Definitely worth checking out!
